Legal Disclaimer: Cisco E-3000 gets hot when in use. Using DD-WRT reduces the heat a little bit. This is a Cisco issue. People have been modding with computer case fan. During my test the unit was elevated using two sponges and never dropped connection or was never too hot to touch. refer to link below.
