Pretty Good. Lots of good information for beginners. Kinda boring for experienced users or administrators and support people.

I read this book in preparation for the test, and I found it to be worthwhile. The test is A LOT harder than this book will prepare you for, but some chapters were helpful. I recommend this book in addition to other study materials if passing the test is your main goal. The book does have some typos but they’re obvious and not a big deal (just scribble your own corrections!)

I found this book well written. On the one hand, it does not mire you too deeply in technical nuances, yet explains the concepts it presents with requisite clarity.

The latest edition of this book (for test 70-064) was still riddled with many typos, confusing and incorrect information, and mismatches between review questions and answers. The book was also brief on networks (esp. Novell), which is a major thrust of the certification exam. Windows 95 Resource Kit and practice exams are good additional resources for anyone who wants to be a Windows 95 guru.

I throughly read this book cover to cover and used the accompanying cd and FLUNKED the exam!! I contacted one of the authors of the book, Lance Mortensen who verified that an incorrect answer was posted to one of the test questions in the Answer section. In addition, the questions at the end of Chapter 16 and the answer section at the back of the book were in a totally different order! I felt the book was hastily written and its networking chapter should have been more in depth!! I am currently studying with a Windows 95 resource kit that was recommended very highly by a friend who works for Microsoft!
