When I purchased two of these in September 2009 they looked very promising. I wanted to use one for my daily work and the other for a backup of the same work on a Windows XP laptop, keeping everything off my hard drive. The first thing I learned is that when the CMS Vault Drive is plugged in you cannot use another Vault Drive or even another flash drive on the same computer at the same time, so backup to another flash drive is impossible. Then I tried one on my desktop computer and learned that these will not work on Windows 64 bit Vista. I contacted CMS support and they verified that these are not compatible with Vista and there is no fix. Also after trying one of these on my Vista computer it now no longer functions at all on my XP laptop computer, it gives an error. These might work in limited situations but personally I wouldn’t trust these as my only copy of data when traveling or at any other time, there must be something better.
